Are You Afraid to Live Your Life Purpose? What's That About? An Action Plan

Do you have a clear vision of your life purpose, but year after year you take no action? Do you hang back because you are unsure HOW to turn it into reality? Are you afraid to start because (in your mind) it would set you apart from friends and family? Does it seem impossible to accomplish? Are there parts of the vision that seem totally insurmountable?

Does it seem safer to simply stay in your little rut? Do you move to the brink of starting and run back to your "cave" every time? What are some things that could help you realize your life purpose?

1. Realize that fear and excitement feel a lot alike. As much as you are able, focus on the excitement and let the fear go.

2. Write deeply about your vision of your life purpose. Describe what you want to do. Who else is in the scene? What are you doing? Where are you doing it? What is your purpose? What are the results? Who is with you? Is travel involved? Who are you helping and how? How does this make the world a better place? What do you need to realize this vision? What additional training is required, and where do you get it? What do you need to know, learn, acquire, understand?

3. Research and identify anything missing from your plan. Become specific.

4. Write everything down and put things in sequence so that you know what things to do first.

5. Write your plan up as a strategy, being specific with all the small action steps that need to be taken.

6. Lay the action steps out on a timeline and start to take action on them in right timing.

7. Get yourself some help. Find a support group, entrepreneur center, or hire a coach.

8. Decide to fulfill your life purpose. Decide that you can figure out the parts you don't know now. Decide that you will do what it takes.

9. Notice the change in your energy when you are pursuing your life purpose vision. Contrast that with your energy when you are continuing on your old unsatisfying path.

You don't have to be afraid of your life purpose or of fulfilling it. You can develop a fearless attitude and approach. You can learn what you need to know. You can get support on the path. You can do it! The joy is phenomenal!

Wandering Or Lost Souls

Personal Spiritual Reality

Our Spiritual Reality is our Personal Spirituality.
Spirit is Energy and everything that is real is energy.

There are 3 types of Spiritual Energy:

Mental Energy is called Thought
Emotional Energy is called Feelings
Physical Energy is called Images, Pictures or Visions

Spiritual Energy creates our Reality via our thoughts, our feelings and our visual images.
Our Reality is divided in Relative Dual Reality Life into what is Physical Reality and what is Spiritual Reality.
In the Absolute Realm there is only Spiritual Reality.

Physical Reality is what we define as real and experience with our 5 physical senses.
Our physical senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch determine the vibration of the atoms that make up our physical existence.

Spiritual Reality is what we realise through the experience of our 3 spiritual senses.
Our 3 spiritual senses, called intuition, are how we know, see and feel vibrations of energy.
With our spiritual sense of seeing mental pictures, visions and images; our spiritual sense of feeling emotions; and our spiritual sense of knowing thoughts; we determine our own exclusive, individual and unique Spiritual Reality.

When our Spirituality is no longer in opposition to our physical reality, it becomes a triune reality of our physical, mental and emotional energies.

Our physical energies allow us to see the activities that we are creating and doing.
Our emotional energies allow us to feel the experiences that we are realising and being.
Our mental energies allow us to know the thoughts that we are manifesting and having.
Our Personal Spirituality is the balance, co-operation and harmony of our physical, mental and emotional aspects that are unified in perfect synchronicity.
When we are disconnected from our emotional energy, we lose our sense of feeling and our power to realise and be who we really are.
When we are disconnected from our mental energy, we lose our sense of knowing and our authority to manifest and have our own reality.
When we are disconnected from our physical energy, we lose our sense of seeing and our ability to create what we have come here to do.

Without our Exclusive-Connection to our own Personal Spirituality, we lose our Vision, Mission and Purpose for this Life-time.

Communicating Through Archangel Gabriel

Communicating is very important in all you do. The better you are able to communicate the more help, support, guidance and information you can receive. Talking and listening are all part of the communication process. If you are a parent you will be aware of the importance of communicating with your children as they grow up so they will continue to communicate with you.

Archangel Gabriel helps with being able to communicate. Her name means "God is my strength". Gabriel was the archangel you communicate with Mary and asked if she would agree to be the mother of Jesus of Narareth. Gabriel is not restricted to any one reigion as she dictated the spiritual text of Islan, The Koran, to Mohammed. Gabriel helps then with communication and with messages.

When you need a loving messenger to spread your message of love, then you can ask Archangel Gabriel to assist. If you purpose is to be a messenger yourself, then you can gain guidance and protection by Archangel Gabriel.

You can get assistance in any form of communication. If you are required to write a letter or email and you are having difficulty, then ask and you will receive guidance in your writing.

As part of my Advance Angels Course, I do automatic writing. Automatic writing enables you to tune into the spirit world and have them provide you with guidance through what you write. This can be a very powerful way to receive guidance. Before we start the task, I ask Archangel Gabriel to be with us and assist. Gabriel may not be the entity who is providing the information, but she is there is provide protection, keep you safe and make sure that the words you are getting are pure and loving. As with all guidance the words may be uncomfortable in what they are telling you. This may be necessary as you prepare to make changes in your life so that you are moving on your life path towards your life purpose.

Archangel Gabriel is associated with the colour of copper. Whenever you call upon Gabriel, you may become aware of that colour around you.

Do You Lose Or Win In Christiani

Express Yourself Fully

In any kind of the relationship and in life, it is very important for us to express our self fully. All humans are nothing but are the puppets of emotions. Every day hundred of emotions arise inside us. These emotions force us to behave or act in particular way. The stronger an emotion is, stronger it will be force us to behave or act in his accordance. Weak emotions mostly die slow death and disappear in the routine of life. However still many times due to the various reasons and compulsions, we are forced to suppress these strong emotions.

These reasons or compulsions could be social factor, self confidence, circumstances etc. Consider common example of finding a girl whom you love but not able to express yours feeling to her due to the fear of her saying no to you. Different people have different reasons and different problems related to their personality and surrounding. However, in the present world, there is no scope and wisdom in hiding our true feeling inside because if we do not take decisions today and express our self then we always remain under the threat repenting later our earlier decision.

The other major advantage of expressing our self truly is that we find more chances to understand our self and others. For becoming a matured and happy person ability to express our self completely is must. Otherwise there always remains the chance of others taking our feelings otherwise. Life provide second chance to very few people, therefore a chance missed once due to the inability to express one self could be a chance missed for ever.

Though it is not easy to express one self immediately because this ability comes in to people with lot of practice and self trust. IF you do not have ability to express yourself fully then do not worry and start doing practice with small exercises and one day you will become a fully expressed person. The advantage of fully expressing yourself is that we can live our life as per our own will. Moreover we will also feel more fulfilled and satisfied due to the more emotions expressed and emotional learning.

Yoga Basics For Beginners

Humans are powerful. Have you ever kept yourself awake at night worrying about someone or something? Most of us make ourselves miserable simply by remembering a difficult moment! When we're exhausted from negative thinking, it's difficult for us to see the beauty that is always here and never leaves us. Here's an effective exercise that when practiced regularly will create inner peace. When you observe yourself thinking in a way that is not kind and loving, try the following and I guarantee that your quality of life will improve:

1. Change what youre looking at look at something beautiful like a flower, mountain, tree, picture of a baby or anything else that makes you smile.

2. Change your breath breathe consciously and then deeply into your belly.

3. Change your posture lengthen your spine and then create space between your ribcage and your pelvis. Make sure that your shoulders dont creep up to your ears!

The majority of us were educated in math, English and science; not in how to create balance in our lives. Yoga teaches us to soften, breathe and relax no matter what twisted pose we get into. When taken off the mat and into everyday life, we learn to relax and breathe instead of tense up when life gets a little bumpy. For example, you can learn to release your jaw and breathe deeply instead of tense up and gag when youre at the dentist.

Yoga trains us to see the world from a different vantage point. After enough practice, frustrations like a broken down car can become opportunities to slow down and appreciate what is working. When you surrender into the moment, life feels a little bit better. Moment by moment you create balance.

Yoga simply means yoke or union. Most of the yoga currently taught in the West is a physical form called Hatha. Translated literally from 5000 year old Sanskrit, this means sun and moon. There are probably as many forms of yoga in the US as there are different ethnic cuisines. The various forms of yoga address a wide spectrum of constantly changing needs. Some forms of yoga have the heat up over 100 degrees and others are under 70 degrees. Each instructor has a different interpretation of the form she or he teaches. Some western teachers fuse different forms of yoga to create their own, such as Anusara and Forrest. There is a form of yoga for everyone. Finding the proper class is the first step in using yoga to create the life you dream about.

A dedicated yoga practice will transform your life because it will create unifying bonds between your body, mind and spirit. As we become whole within ourselves we are able to be unified and healthfully connected to the people, animals and environment that surround us. Our society teaches us to look for gratification outside of ourselves. Yoga helps us to connect with the limitless bliss that really does live within each of us. As you become aware of the connection between your body, mind and spirit you can create the life you have only fantasized about.

Here are some tips for finding the right Hatha yoga class and being happy once youre there:

1. Do your research: read about the class and instructor prior to attending.

Is the class an appropriate level for you? Most teachers dont advise beginners to attend advanced classes. Even if youre in great shape, its important to start yoga at the beginning.unless youre a reincarnated yogi with a super great memory.

Ask the instructor or employees at the studio any questions that will help you feel more comfortable.

2. Do not eat for about 2 hours prior to practiceunless youre pregnant.

3. Arrive to class free from perfumes and colognes.

4. Tell the teacher about any physical issues or limitations before class.

5. Rest any time. Its actually cool to rest in yoga. Listen to your body and allow the breath to guide your movement.

6. Do not compare yourself to others in the class.

7. HAVE FUN. Some people take yoga so seriously that they forget to smile, laugh and play. If you fall out of a pose or do something that seems a little clutzy observe your reaction. Laughing with yourself is a great tool!

Anne Laderman Swartz is a mom and certified yoga instructor in Olympia, Washington. She has taught yoga in California, Arizona and New Zealand. Anne has studied with many master teachers and is especially grateful for her time with Ana Forrest, Saul David Raye and Gurmukh. Her classes are a blend of that experience, combining Vinyasa flow, Anusara, and Forrest Yoga to create a well balanced, heart opening, ecstatic practice. Annes knowledge of Thai yoga massage therapy is frequently used throughout the class to guide students into complete relaxation. Anne is a teacher committed to yoga as a way of life. She unselfishly gives, sharing her boundless energy with all who meet her. For a schedule of classes or more information, email Anne at yogianne@yahoo.com

Want a Successful Legitimate Internet Business? You Need to Program Your Mind For Success

A legitimate internet business provides an opportunity for a lucrative income and the pleasure of calling all the shots in your professional life. You also get to experience the sweet taste of complete freedom to dictate your schedule day to day. Many people are not satisfied with their current professional path and their feelings about their job range from mild dissatisfaction to outright loathing. Many surf the internet trying to find a legitimate internet business so that they can break free from the chains of their current situation. Some will take the leap and some will not. If you are looking for a legitimate internet business or already have one, this article will address some very important information on the proper mental state necessary for success. We have been programmed completely wrong and this leads many people to believe they cannot achieve great wealth or success. There are many great sayings that basically tell us we are what we think. This is very true. Most people sell themselves way too short and this leads some to live a very mediocre life while inside they are yearning to break free. But what is stopping them?

A legitimate internet business can be very rewarding and if you are thinking about doing it, go for it. Do not let your present results influence any decisions you may make for your future. Any lackluster results up until this point represent the you up until now. If you make a decision to change your thinking and image of yourself, success is guaranteed because you will become what you think you are. If you think you are successful and capable of great wealth, you will achieve it. Now, I am not just talking about "positive thinking" That on its own will not be enough. Your actions and thoughts need to match up. Just thinking" It will all be okay" is not enough. You need concrete thoughts with specific details about your success. You need to take action to reinforce these thoughts. Law of attraction and other universal laws are often oversimplified and made to sound like magical thinking or downright naive. This is not true. These laws are very real and very powerful and anyone can harness them for their own advancement. Too many people use the past to determine their future and this is very detrimental.

In order to program your mind for success so that you may run a legitimate internet business you need to replace the deep set thoughts that hinder success with ones that affirm your success and belief in yourself. One of the best ways to do this is using affirmations. Many people may think this kind of self talk is corny and it may conjure images of Stuart Smalley from Saturday Night Live talking to himself in a mirror but affirmations help reprogram your subconscious and get you thinking right so that you may activate the law of attraction. Not many everyday people engage in affirmations and when you start doing them, you may not fully believe what you are saying or feel a bit silly but this is normal. If you stick with it, I promise that you will notice a very real change in your thinking. You can find ones already written or make up your own that serve to reinforce whatever it is you are trying to achieve. I have a great set of cards that I use every morning. I pick one and affirm for about 10 minutes or so. Then throughout the day, I try to use the affirmation while I am working, driving,etc...You especially need to repeat it when you find yourself thinking of anything that does not serve the interest of what you are trying to achieve. A legitimate internet business can be a reality for anyone but they absolutely need to have a self-image of success that will keep them motivated and on track.

Another vital ingredient you need to run a successful legitimate internet business is patience. Our need for instant gratification is one of the biggest stumbling blocks to success. We want maximum return for minimum investment. A legitimate internet business can bring you lots of money and freedom but you will not be raking in the dough overnight. You need to learn certain skills and build up your business to a point where it is consistently bringing in money. Too many people give up on their business way too soon because they did not get instantaneous results. If you are utilizing the law of attraction and taking purposeful action, you can get what you want relatively quickly. However, one must remember that depending on your goal, there is a natural gestation period for it to manifest. You need to give it time. If you outline your intentions, affirm them in your mind, and take purposeful action to manifest them, you will get what you are looking for in the proper time. Your legitimate internet business will be a success for sure.

Parting the Waters, Finding Beauty in Brokenness - by Jeanne Damoff

A Haunting Story of Seeking God's Purpose in Suffering

As an avid reader I sometimes find a book that deeply touches my heart. Jeanne Damoff's "Parting the Waters: Finding Beauty in Brokenness" is that kind of book. This is a poignant account of the trials and testing faced by the Damoff family when their fifteen year old son, Jacob, was left in a coma as a result of a near death drowning accident.

Jeanne describes the raw emotion and physical exhaustion she experienced throughout the years of Jacob's treatment, therapy, progress, set backs and victories. She candidly tells of her personal emotional pain, the absence of laughter in their home, and of how the family suffered with Jacob through his suffering. She writes of trying to banish fear and anxiety, while looking for a break through, a sign of complete restoration and healing.

Jeanne writes of the support of family, church friends, and of the community backing which enabled her with her husband George to focus on being with Jacob while health care professionals planned his treatment and therapy, during the time Jacob was in a coma as well as the months that followed. God graciously built a wall around Jeanne's pain as she persevered in prayer, pleading for a miracle while working through periods of resentment, anger, guilt, and desolation.

Beautiful testimonies from family members, caregivers, and friends tell of how they personally were touched and are being touched by Jacob's life. These words of affirmation add to the books authenticity and bring honor to God for the miracles seen in their own lives through the ongoing story of Jacob's simple, joyous faith, and his sense of personal contact with his God though worship. The book also addresses questions of God's purpose in suffering, His sovereignty, and His power to heal. Any parent who reads book "Parting the Waters: Finding Beauty in Brokenness" will be touched by the under current of a deep faith and positive hope displayed by the Damoff family. I found an unexplained beauty in Jacob's story. It has deeply moved me and touched my heart.

Make A Live Out Of Your Life

High Tech Solution to Calculate Construction Costs

If you are planning to build a house, then the first thing you have to do is to calculate construction costs. Although you can easily ask for estimates from builders and contractors, it is still best if you can determine the actual expenses of materials you will use for the project.

Here is a high tech solution to accurately estimate the construction costs for any house building project.

Using Architectural Design Software

In the past, estimating construction costs was very expensive. First, you need to hire a licensed architect to design the house structure. Professional fees of architects are costly and this could take away significant portion of your budget for the project.

After getting the final blue print of the house design, then you have to ask several contractors to give you an estimate for the construction costs. However, most estimates will exceed your budget which could dent your finances.

By using architectural design software, you eliminate the need to hire an architect and you can easily determine the actual cost of materials for the project. There are lots of user-friendly design applications you can use and some of them you can download for free.

The Process of Computer-Aided House Design

The first thing you have to do is to select a house building and design application that would be easy to use. This way, you will not spend much time learning to use the software.

You have to find a construction design application that has a drag and drop utility. This will allow you to simply point and select the types of building materials you will use and drag-and-drop these to create a house structure.

All the elements of house building will be included in such applications. You can start by creating the structure of the house. Then you have to build walls, floors, windows, and roofing.

Once you created the basic house design, you can now switch to interior design mode. You will be able to select floor tiling, kitchen construction, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other aspects of house building.

If you can master the software, you will be able to create a complete house design with accurate measurements of dimensions in less than a week.

Automating Construction Costs

Now that you have a complete house design, the next step is to estimate the costs of materials you used on your design. You can run a complete inventory check from the software.

The design application will generate an accurate count of materials used for the design. You will get a complete accounting of materials that will be used for the house down to the smallest kitchen tiles.

Once you have the data, simply print out the list and start calling several construction material stores. You can also use to Internet to get different pricelists of house building materials. Base on the prices you gathered, you can now calculate the actual cost of your project.

Estimating construction costs nowadays is easier and faster if you utilize computer aided design software. All you have to do is to add the labor cost and other contingency expenses and you will be able to get an accurate estimation of the entire construction costs.

George Edmondson is an accomplished writer on construction costs estimation. There are numerous articles and resources about construction costs that you can find. Simply visit http://www.aboutconstructioncosts.com and learn how to accurately estimate construction costs.

If The Greeks Were Wrong

Have You Given Up Who You Are to Please Others?

In Anthony De Mello's book "The Way To Love" he talks a lot about our attachment to people and things. In particular he mentions our need to be loved by another as if we would die if they did not exist.

When we give up who we are to please another person we do what I call prostitute our being. We are no longer ourselves but instead begin to conform to what they want/expect of us. Even when we think we know what it is another person wants there are no guarantees that we will get it right so we live in constant fear of making a mistake.

That is no way to live and it is certainly no way to love. I am certainly no expert on love but the one thing I have learnt from studying Mr De Mello is the fact that our attachments are the root cause of our unhappiness and at any moment we can detachment from them all and enjoy true and long lasting happiness.

Detachment doesn't mean you give a person or thing up. You don't have to detach from your car by selling it and giving it up because that just produces the pain of not having and even more unhappiness. But it is about recognizing that without the car you can remain happy. Without the big house you are still a unique and wonderful human being.

Detaching who you are from what you own is an important part of personal growth. Your greatest error will be to believe that who you are is based upon what you own and what you have because if you ever have to give them up then you will lose confidence in yourself and who you are. If you earn 30,000 a month and drive a sports car then suddenly you lose your job, after a few months can't keep up mortgage payments on your exclusive town house and lose that, the car goes next and you are left unemployed without the trappings does that make you any less important than you were when you had them? The answer of course is no it does not.

It is an unstable state of illusion if you place all your confidence into the status that you believe a car or house will give you because it's all relative to the situation. What does that mean?

Well imagine you live in a neighborhood where everyone drives cars worth $7,000 and you buy yourself a wonderful BMW and your car is worth $24,000. Instantly you can begin believing that your status is above everyone and they believe that too. They automatically believe you must have more money than they do even if the real fact is that you bought the car on HP!

You drive around in your neighborhood and everyone looks at your car with envy. The guys all want to talk to you because they want the opportunity to get into and be seen in your car. You are the top of the pack!

Today you decide to visit a friend. You drive to your friends house and in her neighborhood everyone drives a car to the value of $45,000 and over. Jags, convertible audis, porches, mMrcedes, they don't even look at you as you drive up because you're considered a 'poor cousin' when compared to what they drive.

Now suddenly in this neighbourhood your status means nothing... where just 10 minutes before in your own neighbourhood you felt like the top of the pack you are suddenly reduced to nothing worth looking at when you visit your friend.

This is why placing your status in 'things' is so shallow and a complete waste of time.... because there will be times when it will make you feel great and other times when it won't! It will never help fill the void for what you are truly looking for. It provides temporary relief from feeling like nothing but at any moment if you lost your precious thing you will drop right back down again. Plus you have to work hard to keep it, maintain it and replace it with something better. You will worry about people stealing, breaking and ruining it and this worry will cause ill health.

How much easier is it to focus on building our inner strength. In knowing that when we spend time on our own personal growth we can get to a place of inner strength that will not be shaken in any circumstance or with any person. We are connected with a Source of power that guides us and supports us in our goal to manifest our intentions. This ever increasing, always available, uplifting and empowering energy within you is your own greatness and when you learn to tap into it nothing and no one can stop you from feeling amazing 100% of the time. At different times of our lives we will jump in and out of this ocean depending on our needs but we will always know that at any moment we can return and recharge because it will always be there with unconditional love waiting for us.

Now isn't that so much better than plain ole stuff!

The Road to Happiness

Why are we born into this world of many problems, that also offers many potential pleasures? Is it merely to collect as many fleeting moments of happiness as we can amass during our equally fleeting lifetime? Or is there some deeper purpose we ought to be pursuing to make the most of our incarnate time? Looking across the varied spectrum of humankind the answers to these questions are many and varied.

There are the few that adopt the monastic-type existence of withdrawal into a world of material abstinence and intense inner contemplation. Perhaps they give life to that unspoken guilt within many that the pursuit of happiness is somehow wrong, ie selfish, or obscuring some more profound reason for being. And there are the many that hedonistically live life as though it's all there is and thus should be milked to the full regardless of the cost to others. Of course, the majority exist somewhere between these two extremes.

One thing's for sure, you were born into this world in order to live. Though withdrawal from the world may be the chosen path of the few, it is not a path to be undertaken lightly. It is certainly not a path for those who happen to feel they've been dealt a bad hand from which they's rather escape. Rather, it's a path for those who feel they've experienced all the world has to offer in this life or those that went before. It's a positive choice of new experience.

Assuming retreat is not for you, to what extent is the pursuit of happiness appropriate? Some religious interpretations view the state of being happy as somewhat sinful, as though it's synonymous with neglecting one's earthly duty. This is nonsense. Happiness is our birthright, but not its totality.

Many people act as though happiness is a state that is aspired to, and when reached can last forever. But there is no place of lasting happiness. Instead we can experience moments of happiness and pleasure, regardless of our status, but these must always be relinquished. For as well as being born to pursue pleasure, we were also (mainly) born to experience the many ways of the world. It's as though the happy moments are the reward for completing the lessons.

Life is like an obstacle course, there is no shortage of things to test/teach us. But there's also no shortage of things to bring us joy. Sure, we have to negotiate the difficulties when they arise, but too often we focus only on the negative, neglecting the vast amount of positives that surround us every moment.

The key to happiness is finding your purpose and going for it for all you're worth. It's no wonder so many get frustrated from just drifting aimlessly along with no sense of reason. Just knowing that you're progressing towards your reason(s) for being is a great feeling. Actually, whether you get there or not is somewhat academic, since the fulfillment is usually an anticlimax compared to the journey.

Don't try too hard. Happiness is an elusive beast in that the more you actively seek it the less it's likely to appear. Instead live your life to the full. Value, and make the best of, each moment. If you can do this, happiness will inevitably follow.

Happiness is free. It doesn't come from "things." Things may bring a very shallow and short-lived happiness, but it is an illusion. We imagine that having the next best "thing" will somehow complete our happiness, and so it might seem for a very little while, until we start to desire the next best thing... Find happiness in the little things, the satisfaction of a job well done, being in the beauty of nature, spending time with loves ones...

Law of Attraction - 3 Reasons Why You Fail to Attract the Life of Your Dreams

Do you feel stuck in your present conditions? Have you tried learning about the law of attraction but fail to see results? Do you intuitively know that there must be a missing link to the attraction process but you can't seem to get it?

The First Reason You Fail to Attract What You Want is that You are Locked into Your Present Reality

You may not realize just how much of your present life is sucking all your creative attention. Because the creative force follows your attention you continue to attract more of your present conditions. What you are hoping to create must out picture your present reality. That takes the right manifesting techniques which few people understand.

Talking Defeat is the Second Reason

The spoken word is the creative power. So much of your emotions go into the creative process when you are feeling doubtful about your life. Positive thinking becomes positive talking, which translates to positive creation. When you invest in conversations with friends or coworkers that are destructive you are also engaged in the creative process and soon enough you will attract to your life the same conditions of the conversations you are engaged in.

Trying to do it Alone

Yes you are the one who creates your reality. You are the one who attracts the people and circumstances into your life. However you are one tiny unit in the grand scheme of the universe and there is a power so dynamic that can expand your creation to greater outrageous levels when you learn how to cooperate with it. It's like enlisting an army of men to do what you alone could not do.

Persistence Or Failure In Goals
You Have Got To Read This Book

"If You Don't Know Where You're Going, Any Road Will Get You There"

What do you want to achieve?

Before you actually set up, decide what you want to achieve with your business. If you are already in business, review where you are going are you clear about this?

Why not take some time out to think about and write down your goals for your business?

Write it down

Research shows that only 3% of people write down their goals, and on average these people earn 10 times those who dont have goals. Plus research shows that people with up to date written goals are as much as 3100% more successful than people who do not have up to date written goals.

And make sure your business goals dont conflict with things you want to do personally. When you are thinking about your goals, think about and write down your personal goals too. And if you are a multi owner business you will obviously need to discuss your responses with your colleagues, and agree on a shared set of goals for the business.

SMART goals

Make sure that the goals you write are SMART. What does this mean? It stands for:

Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Relevant

Timed

Apply these five measures to each of your goals.

What does it mean to you in reality?

Once you have written down your goal as a SMART goal, think about what the effects would be if you didnt achieve itl. What is the pain that you and those you love will experience if you dont achieve your goal, ie ill health, poverty, unhappiness etc. (Why do this? Because recognising this pain is an enormous motivating force that will help you to work even harder to make sure you dont fail!)

Then decide what you will gain when you succeed - ie wealth, health, happiness, a prosperous retirement etc. What will you see, hear and feel? And what else will your success allow you to achieve/do?
And finally write down the key things you will need in order to achieve your goal. For example, it could be new resources, contacts, skills, actions etc.

Repeat this process using a new sheet for every single goal you would like to achieve.

Prioritise

Next try and prioritise the goals you have written. Lay out all of your goals in front of you and decide which are the most important to you, which are less important and which (if any) are, on reflection, not important after all.

For each goal that is still important work out how you will achieve it, break it down in to smaller steps to make it easier to manage.

Plan in timescales to do each step, write them into your diary or planner. That way you make reaching your goals part of your daily activities.

Look at your where your time goes

Its worth having a look at how you spend your time at the moment, and comparing this to the way you would like your life to happen. Then you can fit your goals into this as well.

To do this, look at the personal goals you set out and list out the broad areas of your life that are important to you eg family, friends, business, health, fitness, money etc
Make a note of the percentage of your waking time that you would like to spend in each of these areas in an ideal world (make sure that the column adds up to 100%)
Estimate approximately the percentage of your waking time you think you are actually spending in each area at the moment, - just a rough and ready approximation here, dont waste time trying to get pinpoint accuracy the aim is just to get a broad feel
Then calculate the gap between the two
Looking at the gaps does it suggest that you need to make changes in order to achieve your goals? If it does, what changes are you going to make?

Next steps

Think carefully about everything you have just done and thought about. What are the implications for what you are doing in your business and your life - and what you should be doing?

Transfer the things you should be doing to an action planner. Keep this somewhere where you wont lose sight of it, so that you are reminded on a daily basis about what you want to achieve.

If you think it would help contact an advisor, mentor or coach to discuss what else you can do to achieve your goals. Sometimes it helps to go through the whole exercise with a third party, who can be more objective and help you to focus on the right things.

Review your action planner. Prioritise it. And start taking action!

And remember, however good your ideas and intentions are they will come to absolutely nothing unless they are turned into action.

So focus on taking ACTION. And start taking it today.

Goal Setting - Breakthroughs Require Focus and Concentration - Tips from a Life Coach

Your ideas will vanish into thin air if you do not claim time to bring them to life. Dedicate focused and concentrated time to develop your creativity and excellence.

"The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor." Vincent T. Lombardi

How many times has your mind been wrestling with an idea or concept, you are almost to a point of an actionable response when you get interrupted? When you finally get a chance to get back to that potential breakthrough you have lost its brilliance. You recreate it to the best of your ability, but know you are still missing that one spark that will set it ablaze. Many times you get it all back eventually, but you waste so much time getting back to that magical place of breakthrough.

Breakthroughs need space to formulate. That space can come in the form of uninterrupted time, creative exploration, focus and concentration. Often we do not know when breakthroughs or great ideas will happen but if you capture them when they arrive then dedicate time to them later you will develop a practice of harnessing and bringing to light many of your ideas and breakthroughs.

This is your breakthrough moment. This week capture your ideas into a notebook, journal or PDA, something that you can easily carry with you wherever you go. Ideas will come at strange times, capture them all. Besides carrying a notebook, I keep a scuba diver pad in the shower to capture and work through my ideas. Water in many forms cause creative ideas to flow for me.

This week dedicate 20 minutes of focused, uninterrupted time everyday to your ideas and breakthroughs. The more you get into the habit of doing this the easier this time will come and the more space you will naturally give to the breakthrough process.

How Realistic Are Your Personal Goals?

Goal setting is very important, but it must be done with realistic personal goals. You cannot expect to make a million dollars sitting at a desk all day and twirling your thumbs. It would be wonderful, it is a nice thought, but realistically, you must take the necessary steps to get the end results you want. You have a desire and you have the ability to make that desire come true. You just have to figure out how to do it. You can be a millionaire if you want to be. You just need to take the steps to position yourself to be one. If others have done it, so can you!

You already have a list of your ideal personal goals and dreams, write them down. With this, you have, in a sense a picture of the treasure chest you want to find and get to. You just have to figure out how to do it.

Okay, so you take out your list. You have written that you want to own real estate. You want to refurbish foreclosed properties and rent out apartments. Trump's logic of making money from real estate really sits well with you. You are in with your personal goals.

With the money you make off the numerous properties you own, you will be able to travel the world, and work when you want. Your will love your work and you will have a family, with children and the home of your dreams overlooking a peaceful, placid lake. You can picture it all clearly.

This is the first step to making it happen.

Some people go their whole lives and never even know what they truly want, what would make them happiest. You have already done something that some people will never ever do. This took work, this took soul searching, this took believing in yourself, and it all calls for a well-deserved validating moment.

Breathe in, you can keep going. You can make all your personal goals come true by improving yourself.

Now make another list. This one will list point by point, in order, every single step that needs to be taken to accomplish your personal goals. This is a challenging task because at every step, it is easy to fall prey to the fearful voices in your mind. If or when this occurs, stop, put down your pen and envision the picture of your dream. Do this until you are breathing calmly again, until you feel at peace. Then begin again. You can get through the whole list. Persevere, push through, you are worth the effort it takes to make your personal goals, personal dreams come true!

Whose God is The Best

If you're part of a religious organization, and were asked this question, "Whose God Is Better" meaning of course, is your God better and stronger or smarter and better looking than the religious competition. Is this something that you believe or were taught while you were young? Obviously you wouldn't think that the Hindu god Brahma is better than Yahweh or Jesus, if you're a Christian. It just wouldn't make any sense to belong to a religion that was weaker than the competition.

It seems like most religions around the world have gods or even one almighty God that is the biggest and baddest god in the neighborhood, maybe even the entire universe.

If we look at the numbers, the Christian God Jesus of Nazareth is the strongest by far. A survey that was done in 2005, showed Christians 2.1 billion strong and growing. With numbers like this, their God must be doing something right. Do you think these numbers are large because of their financial influences in poor countries? Something to think about, how did Christianity become such a large religious institution. They've got plenty of money and pay relatively little taxes. Remember the golden rule, the person with the most gold makes all the rules.

Second on our religious scale are the Muslims, the Islamic religion has over 1.1 billion followers and that puts it at almost half the size of Christianity, but more than doubled the size of the third largest religion by the numbers.

The third largest religion in the world is Hinduism and most of India which is second only to China as the most populated countries in the world are Hindus. Hinduism ranks around 800 million followers.

I'll stop right there. I wanted to give you an idea of religion by the numbers, realistically the Christians and the Muslims believe in the same God but the Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet and the Christians don't recognize Mohammad at all and Mohammad is the number one prophet for the Islamic religion. But if we put the two of them together, it would be the largest religion by far with almost no competition economically or with military strength.

So to answer our question," Whose God Is Actually Better", I would have to say the Christian God is the most popular and powerful God and the universe. The only problem is, there's no actual proof that Jesus, Mohammed, Yahweh, Krishna or any other supreme being is real. People follow these religions and base almost everything on faith with very little facts that can actually be proven.

I'm not talking about small facts, I'm talking about big ones like, how the world was created, you can choose to believe, anything that you want but until we have some facts or at least something that sounds pretty good, you should probably stop thinking, that your religion is the only way and your God the best. Show some compassion for other religions around the world, their beliefs are no better or weaker than yours.

Power Of Myth

Christian Thinking

There is a popular saying from Mark Twain about Christianity. Mark Twain - "If Christ Were Here Now, There Is One Thing He Would Not Be, a Christian."

Giving this some thought and looking around at the people that view themselves as Christians got me to thinking. Do you think, if Mark Twain were alive today, he would have the same view towards Christians and Christianity as a whole? I wonder if Christ's vision of a better world or society is what's going on today. I read somewhere, where this over 33,000 different types of Christian religions, is this what Jesus had in mind over 2000 years ago.

I don't think Mark Twain was referring to Jesus as being a bad person and Christians not wanting to associate with him. I believe it's the other way around, Jesus was an exceptional person and believed in living a life as an example towards others with kindness, forgiveness and love.

Sometimes Christians get a little carried away when they start talking about loving their neighbors like they would themselves or asking for forgiveness while choosing not to forgive others. It's hard to imagine what Jesus would actually think of modern day Christians or even what he would think about Christianity over a hundred years ago.

I wonder what Jesus would have thought a thousand years ago about Christians. Mark Twain brings up a very good point, if Christ was here today, would he be happy. If you're living a life as a Christian and following in the footsteps of Jesus, you should be proud of yourself. If not, maybe you should start thinking about changing your ways.

If you are following the path of Christ, are you following a path that has been changed and manipulated to benefit organized religion and the advancement of Christianity, or are you following the true path of Jesus. Something to think about if you're planning on spending the rest of your life in the Christian religion.

The Beginning of Religions

It seems like everywhere we look in the world, we are always focused on something in the middle. Often we are spending most of our time thinking about the end and never thinking about how it all began. In the holy Bible, it states in the beginning but doesn't talk about the beginning of the beginning. Where did God come from, that is the actual beginning.

I don't know how many stories I've read in the Bible about other people's triumphs and defeats, but keep in mind that some of these stories cannot be proven, factually. Some people believe in Krishna, others Jesus, Buddha, God, and the vast and numerous creators of the world and the entire universe. I don't know which one or if all of them are the true God's and by that I would refer to God as the creator of the universe.

It seems to be extremely difficult to prove scientifically and without any doubt, that the earth was created by a creator, according to popular religious text and would be very difficult to prove with in the leading religions of the world.

Let's get back to the question of where did God come from? There obviously had to be someone before the creation of the universe, if you choose to believe in a creator. Is God a man, woman or some sort of spiritual entity, like a ghost or maybe some smoke that can form into anything at any time and if so, did his secrets come from another creator or superior being. Was God involved in self-help and learned all these secrets on his own, through trial and error.

I often wonder, how long the creator of the universe was alive before our creation and what other worlds has this all mighty and powerful being built before or after ours. Do we have sister universes and if so, will we ever be able to see them or visit them, during our lifetimes.

Most people dismiss the creation of the creator, but wouldn't this be one of the most important parts of any religion? There's obviously something to think about here and I wish that most people practicing religions, which involve a deity or superior being, could take a little more interest in finding out where their God actually came from.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If you do find the answers, I would love to hear from you and by the way, you would be solving one of the universes most perplexing and complicated secrets. You could be a gazillionaire and make the cover of Time magazine, something to think about.

Top Self Help Strategies to Beat Depression According to Scientists

A group of Australian scientists did some research to discover more than 2214 self-help strategies to beat depression. Their findings were published in the Journal of Affective Disorders in Oct 2008. After getting rid of complicated strategies that they found to be difficult to implement, the team selected a final list of helpful strategies. What were the top strategies?

The list included...

-physical activity,

-proper sleep habits and regular sleep schedule,

-doing enjoyable things,

-getting involved in activities with a purpose,

-rewards for reaching small goals,

-relaxation methods,

-talking over problems or feelings with someone supportive and caring,

-informing family and friends,

-and eating a healthy, balanced diet.

When you discover that your head is attached to your body and that you must take care of your body in order to have a healthy mind, beating depression is closer than you think. For some reason, in our modern lifestyles, we incorrectly assume that what we choose to do and consume will not affect our health. As a result, our health care systems cannot possibly provide us adequate care. Proper health care begins with each individual. Please don't sacrifice your long term health for short term comforts.

With help from your doctor, you can start making life changes today to beat your depression. Your doctor can only guide you but he/she will not cure your depression. Only you can. My own life is an example of that.

When anti depressants brought on thoughts of suicide, I did my own depression research reading through the medical journals. Then I took it to my doctor and he suggested how to implement the research safely and effectively. But, it took discipline on my part (not his) for me to implement it. Three months later, I was out of the tunnel because I diligently made the necessary lifestyle changes. You can make these simple changes too.

There is hope! You are worth it!

From suicidal to impacting the lives of others, Merri Ellen Giesbrecht shares hope for those suffering from depression. When antidepressants made her life worse, she began to research the medical journals to find the truth. What she found would not only change her life but also thousands of others in over 80 countries around the world through her website: http://www.cure-your-depression.com

Individual Goal Setting in Business - Keeping Your Goals in Check

It's interesting to look at the role of individual goal setting in business. More and more people are becoming entrepreneurs and opening their own businesses. When it comes to business goals you are going to be concerned with things specific to business like increasing productivity and sales. On the other hand personal goals might include things like picking up a new hobby or working on your personal relationships.

With that being said, it's important for you to consider how your individual or personal goals could influence your business objectives. Your business goals and personal goals should not be in conflict with each other. You need to explore the possible ways your personal life can impact your business. Individual goal setting in business should include asking yourself the following questions.

- How many hours per week would you like to work? If your business is just getting off the ground you will have to anticipate potentially working longer hours at the beginning. You can see how this may become a problem if you had previously committed to a personal goal of spending more time with your family. The two goals are not in alignment and this will most likely lead to failed goals either in your personal or business life.

- How much money do you think you'll need in order to maintain your desired lifestyle? If you plan on having a large home, several cars and many vacations, you have to ensure that you business objectives are in line with the kind of lifestyle you plan on having. Have you put the right business models in place to guarantee a certain profit is produced? Again if it is a new business, perhaps you need to consider changing your lifestyle ideas to match your businesses status. Remember to always be realistic and flexible in goal setting, especially when you are trying to create a balance between all your life goals.

- How much travel do you plan on doing? If you have a personal goal to travel twice a year with your family and a business goal to increase sales by 50% you may encounter some conflict.

In your approach to individual goal setting in business, keep in mind you may also have personal goals that pertain to the success of the business. Your skills and qualifications also play a big role in whether or not the business can survive. You also have to find a balance between these kind of professional goals and your personal goals. Your desire to achieve a particular personal goal may affect your drive to become a better leader in your business for example.

We should all strive to have balance in our lives and it is indeed a good idea to have goals in all aspects of our lives. But with this is mind, it's very important to ensure that your goals are complementary and do not hinder the progress of any of your other goals. When planning each of your goals don't forget to consider the big picture. while you may find it helpfully to have all your action plans for each goal separate, you need to also have a document that includes all of your goals and the various steps to their achievement. Make sure there is no overlapping among your goals and no conflicts.

So as we examine the role of individual goal setting in business it becomes clear that great planning and organization must be involved in order keep all your goals in check and in line. It should be your top priority to be the best person you can be in your professional life as well as in your personal life. Work on finding that balance that will reveal true success.

Time Management Skills to Help You Use Time More Wisely

How would you rate your time management skills? Excellent? Fair? Absolutely horrible? The fact of the matter is that many people have very poor habits when it comes to time. You've got to recondition your brain to take in the idea that being efficient is all about managing your time wisely and and it's also about self management. The wonderful thing is once you master your new skill, you will become more organized, efficient and happier.

You are then able to identify ways to improve efficiency and productivity, so that next week you are less likely to waste time.

- People with great time management habits always schedule breaks. Get into the habit of scheduling regular breaks. Spiritual Gift Test - Discover Your Spiritual Gift

A spiritual gift test is commonly used to assess what particular gift a person may have. It is important first to know what a spiritual gift is. The term spiritual gift is used in the Bible by the apostle Paul. Paul states in 1 Corinthians 12 that the gifts of the spirit are the ability to give wise advice, special knowledge, great faith, healing, miracles, and prophesy. Paul follows that the one ultimate spirit is the giver of all gifts of the spirit. It is God that is the giver all good things.

Before you discover your spiritual gift it is important to know why you want to know what gift you have. It is a question that gets to the motive of why we need this thing, what is the real desire. Unfortunately in Paul's time the followers of Christ became lovers of spiritual gifts. Paul noticed that the need was motivated more by ego than by service. A spiritual gift test can be more for your ego than for service. God is not giving things to boost your ego or for you to show yourself more spiritual than others. One should never see a gift as something earned by their service to God. God gives to each what he gives for his purpose.

It is important to figure out if our wanting is from a position of ego. How do you figure out if a spiritual gift test is from pure selfish motive, the easiest way is first to ask your self how important it is for you to have a spiritual gift? If your objective is anything other than serving others then it is a wrong motive. Paul was very unhappy with the Christians at Corinth due to the fact that they were getting preoccupied with these things, it was more from an ego stand point than from a point of service. It is very enticing to tell others that we have a gift of healing or wisdom. We can be made to feel important due to these gifts. Pride and ego is a powerful disease that can affect the most spiritual person. The enemy was cast from heaven due to pride.

Lord Jesus told the apostles not to be happy that they had exorcised demons but rather be happy that God had their names written down in heaven. The very wanting should bring you to a point of prayer and asking God to remove any ego from you in regards to what you are seeking. 1 Corinthians 12:7 states that spiritual gifts are for service to others only.

This is extremely important; gifts have nothing to do with us. How many of us speak of wanting a spiritual gift so we can help someone. God knows the hearts and he knows your reasons for needing or wanting. Search you heart and ask yourself how much is ego or how much is to be a servant.

The Secret Nazis Covet the Temple Mount

"Even before the end of this war, I revealed to you the plans for a NAZI UNDERGROUND MOVEMENT, to go underground as a SECRET organization the very moment they lost the war - to lay low...then come forth when least expected, RESTORE GERMANY TO POWER, and go on to finally accomplish their aims in a WORLD WAR III" - The Plain Truth, Sept. 1948.

The Philadelphia Trumpet magazine (Feb. 2000) reminded its international audience that Herbert W. Armstrong wrote those prophetic words long before they were confirmed by Reuters Arthur Spiegelman, who wrote on May 10, 1996: "Realizing they were losing the war in 1944, Nazi leaders met top German industrialists to plan a secret post-war international network to restore them to power, according to a newly declassified U.S. intelligence document. The document...says an SS general and a representative of the German armaments ministry told such companies as Krupp and Rohling that they must be prepared to finance the Nazi Party...when it went underground."

Ella Steinberg, executive director of the World Jewish Congress stated: "Now that the Nazi secret plan has been confirmed, the central question is whether it has been carried out."

Need we wonder? Considering German hegemony throughout Europe is practically a done deal (with the Vatican's blessing), aren't Herbert W. Armstrong's warnings about the final revival of the "Holy Roman Empire" being fulfilled before our very eyes? Only the deaf, dumb and blind could deny that the Germans have thoroughly carried out their plans!

But what is the German-Catholic kingdom without the crown of Jerusalem? "Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David dwelt!" (Isaiah 29:1). The Vatican covets Mount Zion and the Temple Mount and Europe won't quit until it occupies the eternal capital of Israel! Both the Arabs and the Jews had better beware any European moves into the Middle East.

David Ben-Ariel, a Christian-Zionist writer and author of Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall, shares a special focus on the Middle East, reflected in hard-hitting articles that help others improve their understanding of that troubled region. Check out the Beyond Babylon blog.

Draw A Line In The Sand

Sometimes you feel like you REALLY got to change something. Maybe it's an annoying habit. Maybe it's more serious. Maybe it's losing weight, or stopping smoking. Whatever it is, you just get fed up with the situation. You're motivated to change.

SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE!

Maybe it's occurred to you - either you think of it yourself, or you read it somewhere - Draw A Line In The Sand!

And step over it. And things just change.

It's tempting. Especially if you're really exasperated. While it can work, it often doesn't. Here's why:

Because the follow-through is either lacking or it's inadequate. So the motivation is faulty. It's easy to say the words:

"I decided! Im going to change!"

But what really determines whether that decision 'sticks' or not?

Two things:

1. The state you're in when you make that decision.

If you're filled with your own power - in touch with yourself - standing on a firm foundation - that decision or choice is more likely to stick. If your foundation is filled with exasperation, worry, frustration, weariness, anger... then it probably won't stick. Because the motivation is not solid.

If it's filled with love and will, there's a much greater chance it sticks. The more of your own personal power you can muster as you're making the choice or decision, the more likely it will be to really change things.

As a child, you made many fundamental choices and decisions that are quite alive today. Generally speaking, you were filled with emotion - REAL emotion - and that gave them the punch to continue influencing you even today.

One powerful choice can change your life. Many childhood choices and decisions did. If you search your past, you can find those fundamental choices and decisions - to either accept them or change them.

2. How skilled you are at making choices and decisions.

Which basically comes down to practice. Out of necessity we make choices and decisions all day long. Whether we want to or not. Whether we realize it or not:

"I guess one more scoop of ice cream won't hurt anything."

But often we end up blaming those choices and decisions on circumstances, other people, or even our own subconscious or unconscious minds.

"Everybody else is doing it."

"You talked me into it."

"I didn't consciously choose that."

Blame is always a lie. But beyond that, we're not letting ourselves develop the POWER of choice - or the POWER of decision.

Thus, when it comes to drawing a line in the sand, within minutes or hours or days, we're back to 'normal'. Because there was no power behind the drawing of the line. Due to a faulty foundation, or a lack of skill, or both.

What's the solution? Stop drawing? Give up - retreat back into pity; or the judgments? Accept our miserable lives the way they are? Put on our coat of nobility?

"I guess it's just my lot in life to suffer. That's my fate. I can't change things..."

That's one option. Or, you can accept responsibility for your life. Realize WHY drawing a line in the sand doesn't work. And get about the business of changing it.

Besides the personal shortcomings you may or may not have, there's also one fundamental flaw with even drawing that line in the sand to begin with. That is, it presupposes that all you have to do is draw the line. Then it's over. Then you don't have to be responsible for what you chose or decided. Now you can go back to sleep. Now it should 'just happen'.

In other words, you're setting yourself up to fail.

But if you HAVE made a powerful choice or decision, then you WILL follow-through. By making all the *secondary* choices that MUST BE MADE - if you want your first choice to stick.

If your primary choice is to stop eating ice cream, then at the very least, you'll need to make a secondary choice to stay away from it! Stop buying it. Stop walking into the ice cream store.

You'll need to draw that line in the sand over and over and over. Not just once. Sooner or later, if you're persistent, then the pattern will be laid. And it will no longer be a 'contest of wills'. Instead, it'll be second nature. You won't have to think about whether or not you'll eat that ice cream.

But until that happens, you'll need to follow-through. Otherwise you're just spinning your wheels and you'll look foolish.

So what would stop you from the follow-through? Usually it's unresolved thoughts and feelings which comprise the patterns of the past. Those patterns compare to cracks in your motivation. Heal those patterns and you heal your faulty motivation.

Then it becomes much easier to draw a line in the sand... that changes you.

Spending My Childhood Around Christians

I was born in the 1960s and raised in Southern California, United States of America. During that period of time, and in the area I was raised, there was basically one religion that dominated every aspect of mine and my friends lives. That religion was Christianity. When I was in elementary school, I knew one Jewish boy and he looked different than the Christians and even talk different. He was very smart and spent a lot of his time reading, instead of playing at recess.

There were no Muslims or Hindus and it was a predominantly white environment. The first black students I seen was when I entered the eighth grade and by the time I finished high school, I could count all of the black students I had met on both of my hands. So now you have a pretty good idea of my life, living in a white neighborhood that was 90% Christian.

As you can guessed it, I was raised a Christian, but not a regular Christian, I was a Methodist and proud of it, until my parents got tired of the church elders asking for money or if my father could help build the new church. My father explained to them, that he needed to work to support his family and could only contribute, what ever he could to the church and no more. They were very unhappy and made it uncomfortable for us to go to the church anymore.

Hard to imagine, isn't it. Christians asking for money and then when they don't receive it, getting mad at one of their brethren.

Well it was time to switch churches and we are now going to the Crystal Cathedral Church in Garden Grove California. These people had everything and it was a large church. This was before they built the massive glass structure that is presently the church sanctuary. I enjoy going to this church, because we didn't have to go to Sunday school and got to sit with the adults to worship.

By the time I was 15, neither one of my parents were going to church anymore and my life didn't seem to change that much, even though I prayed every night with my brother. Maybe that was it, I didn't have to go to church as long as I prayed every night... By the time I was 18 years old, I was more confused about organized religion than ever before and this included Christianity.

How can someone kill in the name of God? The Muslims were doing it, the Christians were doing it, the Muslims were fighting the Hindus in India and it all seemed normal. It didn't seem normal to me, when I was supposed to love my neighbor and live a life like Christ who never seemed to start fights or even get mad. Maybe a couple of times, over some money, in the Temple.

I have chosen not to be a part of organized religion. I'd figured out that most of our religious beliefs came from our upbringing. This seems to have brainwashed us into believing we are better because were right and know for a fact, that we have chosen to belong to the right religion. What if were not right?

I want to ask you a question, do you think that other religions are wrong and yours is right? If you really spend some time and think about this, you will see, that your religion is not that different than someone else's and neither was their upbringing. Most religious followers, belonged to the religion of their childhood.

Understanding Faithful Followers

Is Your Religion an Illusion? Who is God?

Most people that I run into on a regular basis while out and about on my journey through life, seem to believe in something. Most of them when asked, fear death and are often looking forward to going to a better place, like heaven when they die. Some of them will start talking about all the good things they've done in their lifetime, while others live in a very humble world.

If you're a strong believer and are told not to read or listen to anything outside of your religious text. This probably comes from fear and will keep you living in your religious illusion of faithfulness. Jesus once said, Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

I'm sure that religious scholars can interpret this in a hundred ways and some of them will even make sense to people like me but the words are simple and straightforward. Seek and you will find is pretty simple to understand. If I'm looking for the answers while seeking the truth, I should be able to find it.

Here's where the problem comes in, why don't more people seek the truth. If you believe that seeking the truth is reading your religious text on a daily basis, read them with an open mind and soon you will find text that some of it is outdated, doesn't make sense, and some of it even contradicts itself. There is some wonderful information in these texts also. I've read some of the Holy Bible and love Proverbs and the Story of Job.

Just because I liked the stories and other parts of the Holy Bible, does it make me a believer in Jesus or the God of the Holy Bible. I can no longer agree with my past beliefs, how I was raised or have the same beliefs as the majority of people in my community. I am still seeking the truth but no longer falling into the trap and believe most religions create an illusion of a better life, but can't seem to deliver the goods, especially here on earth. The promise of something better entices some people to live a godly life but at what expense, sometimes.

There are plenty of religious followers who will tell you that they're happy and they love following their religion. Some of these people are liars, others are honest but most of them aren't very educated about their own religions or others throughout the world. Don't get caught up in the religious trap, that your religion is right and others are wrong. This could become more frustrating once you truly start to seek the truth.

How Did You Choose Your Religion

Are You Caught Up In A Life Of Guilt

Guilt is one of the largest causes of stress in your life. Stop reading this article for a second and think about the people in your lives that often make you feel guilty.

Now did you really stop reading the article and think about the people in your life who make you feel guilty? Okay well if you did this get back to the guilty feelings so many of us have. Guilt goes all the way back to your childhood, your parents, teachers, friends and relatives have gotten to be pretty good at it over the years, often learning from the same group of people when they were children.

Guilt is definitely a big part of our society and can be found almost everywhere you turn. Have you ever turned the television on to notice a commercial about weight loss. A large majority of Americans are overweight and are targets for a guilt creating society.

I was reading a book on writing magazine articles, when they mentioned a fact that I never thought of, most women's magazines run articles on dieting in every issue. Guilt sells magazines.

Do you think weight loss, dieting or nutritional eating habits, sell magazines? If your answer is no, you should check the financial statements of these companies. They know what sells magazines and guilt or fear is one of their best friends. If you answered yes to the question, you won't have to suffer from the guilt of not knowing the answer.

Guilt seems to work on our subconscious mind in negative ways, often producing harmful thoughts that create stressful feelings in our lives. The longer these negative thoughts are held as truths, the harder it's going to be on our self esteem.

If you find yourself around people that make you feel guilty for something you do or don't do on a regular basis, I would suggest finding new people to hang around with. Gathering negative information from people you consider your friends can only create more damage to your conscience.

If you truly and sincerely do not like something about yourself, tell your friends in a nice way, that you would rather talk about your problems in a negative way. If they have constructive and helpful comments, you would love to hear them. Guilt causes stress and stress can lead to death. If you don't believe that, do some research on stress related illnesses.

Is Your God Better Than Mine
